Josh Rekula

Josh Rekula, ASA, MAAA, joined Wakely in January 2024 with 16 years of health insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Wakely, he was a Medicaid actuary for 8 years at Centene where he directed teams that provided actuarial support for health plans in multiple states. He has worked with over a dozen different Medicaid programs and has extensive experience with the actuarial analyses needed to support financially sound Medicaid operations. Some of Josh’s specialties include: Medicaid rate advocacy, risk adjustment, financial forecasting, and ensuring the actuarial soundness of value-based contract arrangements.

Josh additionally worked a further 8 years at Aetna/Coventry Health Care supporting the Large Group and ACA products, and he volunteers on the AAA Health Equity Committee.
