Liz Myers

Liz Myers, FSA, MAAA, is a senior consulting actuary at Wakely Consulting Group in the Atlanta office. She rejoined the firm in September 2022 and has more than 25 years of actuarial experience. Liz has worked with a variety of companies and clients including payors, health care start-ups, employers, providers, and brokers spanning all lines of business. Her expertise lies in data warehousing and analytics, medical and pharmaceutical reimbursement and contracting, underwriting, benchmarking, bundling, and employer reporting/dashboards.

Liz’s responsibilities have ranged from lead consultant to expert witness to independent actuarial review. She has been involved in the development of three Wakely tools, which include utilization and cost data mapping, Medicare repricing, and employer reimbursement analysis. Her most recent experience includes an operational review of a payor’s value-based contracting initiatives to identify areas of opportunity. She has worked on CMMI Medicare projects and with a Managed Medicaid client on the behavioral health side. Prior to rejoining Wakely, Liz was the lead actuary at three start-up health care companies where she built teams, established protocols, created tools, performed financial modeling, and made strategic business decisions foundational to the establishment of the actuarial and analytics department.

Liz is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She holds a BBA in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University.
