Wakely Consulting Group, an HMA Company, and Morgan State University announce new actuarial science scholarship opportunity

TAMPA, FL - Wakely Consulting Group, an HMA Company, and Morgan State University (MSU) in Baltimore have partnered to offer students studying actuarial science the opportunity to receive a $5,000 academic and merit-based scholarship.
The scholarship, which can be renewed annually for up to four years, is designed to reward students for exemplary performance in math and analytics and recognize those who demonstrate a passion for pursuing a career in actuarial science.

This partnership with MSU, the only historically black college and university (HBCU) with a bachelor’s degree program in Actuarial Science, is a perfect match for this commitment.

The scholarship is open to incoming freshmen and current sophomores accepted into Morgan State University’s actuarial science program in addition to the following criteria:
- Student plans to study actuarial science at MSU on a full-time basis (minimum 12 credit hours per semester)
- High school cumulative GPA of 3.2 at the time of application
- Ability to provide two letters of recommendation and an official high school transcript
- Ability to provide current resume
- Completion of MSU’s Summer Academy of Mathematics and Science preferred, but not required
