Katie Glynn is a diligent medical coder and auditor with over a decade of experience applying the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS’s) coding conventions and rules. She is adept at working with both prospective and retrospective risk adjustment models, and she is proficient in numerous software and electronic medical record systems.
At Wakely Consulting Group, an HMA Company, Katie serves as a Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) manager. Prior to her promotion, she worked as a coder and auditor in another HMA-enterprise company. In these roles, Katie has leveraged her knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes to provide medical record coding and auditing support, adhering to CMS and project-specific guidelines as well as industry standard accuracy and productivity rates.
In addition to her expertise in CMS HCC guidelines, Katie has a deep understanding of American Medical Association diagnostic coding conventions and rules. She also has experience working with CMS Prescription Hierarchical Condition Category (RxHCC), Medicare Advantage, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), and bi-directional guidelines.
Katie earned her risk adjustment coding certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
